It seems that the bug tracker is still down, so I am posting here instead....

Arguably, the most important thing to be notified about on the Virtualmin web site is the News postings. However, this is the one area where notification does not seem to be an option. We can be notified about postings in the forums, bug tracker, and ticket tracker, but not news. There should be a way to "subscribe" to notifications of these Virtualmin News items.

Also, I noticed there is an option for an RSS feed, but that seems to be out of date. Having this feed kept current would be nice, but I would still prefer having the standard e-mail notifications as above.

Bug tracker is back up. (Had to do some security updates to OpenACS, which broke the trackers, so I had to work a bit on that.)

Notifications for news is a great idea. It isn't available in the current OpenACS, but I bet I could figure out how to add it. Maybe this weekend I'll find a couple of hours to read up on the notifications service. I'm aware of the fact that RSS feeds seem frozen in time--they worked to start with and then stopped somewhere along the way. I'm not sure how to fix it, but now that I know someone is using it, I'll try to get it working ASAP.
