Failed to create virtual server : DBI connect failed : Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'mysql'

SO i tried to create a virtual server while logged in with root and i got that error message,i dont understand why root wouldnt be able to access the database?has a config file got broken ? i dont no mysql to well, but i no you have to allow access,so i am very confused. btw i have created several domains before and this has just started!

Hmm, normally I'd suggest looking in /etc/webmin/mysql/config to make sure the MySQL root password is correct.

But from the message above, it seems to be missing a username that it's connecting with.

So, I might still verify that Virtualmin is using the correct MySQL root password, but did you copy and paste that error? It really said this:

Access denied for user ''@'localhost'

Rather than this:

Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'
