Change default home directory 2008/09/02 06:05
Is it safe to change the default home directory on virtualmin?

If it's ok, is it better to change in Users and Groups module or in Virtualmin module config?

I'm asking because I would like to change it to something like /var/www/virtual

With this changes I would be able to use suexec with centos apache rpm

I'm using Virtualmin GPL(rpm) on CentOS 5.2.

Probably, but not a lot of people put user homes into places other than /home.

Why not install our Apache RPM? (It's just a rebuilt CentOS RPM with docroot set to /home.)

Even better...why not install using our automated install script? Assuming you're starting from scratch on a fresh system, it can save you several hours of tedious labor getting everything configured correctly.
