I'm not in a BIND ;-( 2007/02/11 11:13
With this new install I'm running into Probs again. Currently my primary nameserver is still running on Slackware 10.0 with BIND 9.2.3 but the new server added to the network is CentOS 4.4 running BIND 9.2.4 under CHROOT.

I'm having trouble that the new server sends a record to the primary ( and secondary for that matter) and the record gets added to named.conf but the server.hosts file never gets written so I have a record with no addresses.

The CHROOT shouldn't matter or does it send a path for hosts that doesn't exist on the nameserver? It always ends up as some lame response such as:

saved '/var/named/lickity.split.hosts' as '/var/named/db-XX20EML1'

or is this a setting Im overlooking?
