I've updated my system to the latest version of the distribution today. Almost all things are working fine. Unfortunatly, there was a problem with webmin. I had to uninstall webmin and reinstall it. Now I've another problem: Virtualmin (GPL-Version) does still exists, but without any servers in it. All domains are working find, beacuse the configuration of Apache, Bind and Postfix still exists. My domains are just not longer listed in virtualmin.

Unfortunatly, I don't have a backup :( Is there a way to restore the domains without backup? I've found some files like "domain.com.acl" in /etc/webmin and /etc-webmin/virtual-servers. Which files do i need?

Hey Thomas,

There is a way to import existing domains, but it's not going to bring in all of the privileges of the domain owners and such. But if you have the domain.com.acl files, that will provide some of the remainder of the picture (those determine what modules your domain owners have access to in Webmin and Virtualmin). If you have those, you might have some other files that are useful. Do you have a "domains/" directory in /etc/webmin/virtual-server? That's where a lot of the detail about your domains it stored...without it, a lot of stuff may have to be reconfigured.

Oh, yes, I've domains. I've remembered that I've backed up the whole /etc before updating the system.

I've now tried to delet the whole /etc/webmin/virtual-server directory and get it from the backup back. Now I've all domains listened in virtualmin. But I don't know if this are all needed informations.

Are all Informations in /etc/webmin/virtual-server? Or should I look for some files outside of /etc/webmin/virtual-server?
