Emails being lost in the same domain ? 2008/09/22 10:34
Hi

I have a number of Centos 5.0, Virtualmin servers (latest version)(postfix MTA) and have just got reports that if a user in a domain sends another user in the same domain an email with an attachment the email does not get through (if it should also be sent to an blackbury then it is sent to that no problem) but it never gets into the mail box of the second user on the server.
I have tested this and so far it looks like it is a real issue:-

Mail from domain 1 to domain 2 with attachments & without perfect.
Mail from domain 1 to second user (no attachments) perfect.
Mail from domain 1 to second user (with attachments) email does not arrive in second mail box but no error in maillog.

Any clues becuase it is driving me crazy

Regards, Denis

Hey Denis,

If you look in the maillog, although there aren't any errors, does it show the email as having been delivered?

If so, take a gander in /var/log/procmail.log, can you see procmail delivering it? Is it going to the mailbox and folder you'd expect?
