Sendmail 2006/05/01 23:42
I have SMTP Auth setup but it does not work for usernames that are the entire email address, but it works for users that I manually created or the virtual server main login. In other words, it works for a user created as test. But it will not work for a user created by virtualmin as a mail user with username test@test.com.

Any help is appreciated,

Thanks,

Pete

It's covered in the FAQ:

http://www.virtualmin.com/faq/one-faq?faq_id=1511#51230

And in this response to Bill's own query about the same problem here:

http://www.virtualmin.com/forums/message-view?message_id=73316

(Just wanting to make sure folks can find the answer if they're searching for it in the future.)

Note that this problem isn't related to Sendmail, at all, it's just you're less likely to have found the FAQ since Sendmail, unlike Postfix, won't fight against you using @ in the username.
