subdomain

Hi, I know there is a way to do a subdomain instead of a sub server, so that when you create a subdomain, you just specify where the folder for the subdomain is located ie. subdomain.mydomain.com goes to /home/mydomain/public_html/subdomain. I am looking to do this as I have several folders in my public_html/root directory that I would like to turn into sub domains so you can just type in subdomain.mydomain.com in instead of typing mydomain.com/subdomain I know there is a setting to enable it, and I have used it in the past, and I remember creating a post for it but I can't seem to find the post so if anyone can tell me how to enable that feature again, that would be great.

Many thanks

Howdy,

Although they seem to discourage it's use -- you can do what you're after in System Settings -> Module Config -> Advanced Options -> Allow creation of sub-domains.
