Filesize issues when receiving e-mail

Hi there! A client of mine was trying to send over some material but the mail was bounced.

I've tried to find out how to increase the limit but for some reason spamc reports 512000 bytes and not 1024000 bytes which is set in Webmin -> Servers -> Postfix Mail Server -> General Resource Control -> Max size of a message: 10240000

Dec 17 19:35:49 ns1 spamc[5682]: skipped message, greater than max message size (512000 bytes)

Why is spamc reporting that the max message size is 512000 when it is set to 10MB? Is it possible to define these limits for special mail accounts that receives larger e-mail's than normal?

Well, you're dealing with different limits there; SpamAssassin would have a separate max message size from Postfix.

However, all that means is that messages larger than 512K just get passed through, and aren't processed by SpamAssassin.

So, if you set your max message size to 10MB in Postfix, you should be in good shape!

Hrm, I don't know of a way to do that. I believe there's one central setting in Postfix, and as soon as it sees that the message size exceeds the limit, everything stops.
