webmin/virtualmin and snort

Hi

Does webmin/virtualmin and Snort work well together?

Are there any known problems running Snort on a webmin/virtualmin server?

Is there a webmin/virtualmin module for Snort?

Is there a preferred alternative that is better with webmin/virtualmin?

Howdy,

Hrm, some time ago, there was a Snort module for Webmin. I'm no longer seeing it on the Webmin Modules page.

So I don't know of a way to use Webmin in order to control Snort.

Outside of that, they won't interfere with each other if you wish to run them on the same machine... no known problems or anything.

Similar to running Email and a Database on the same machine -- they perform very different tasks. So long as the CPU load of what each are doing isn't too high, they should play just fine together.

Good luck!
