Cloudmin login fails, unless restarted via SSH

For some odd reason, I can't login to my Cloudmin management server as root, unless I restart cloudmin via SSH, using /etc/init.d/webmin restart.

What would cause this?

I'm getting the same problem: every time I restart the server I have to manually restart webmin - "/etc/init.d/webmin restart" - otherwise cloudmin and webmin won't work. Is there some other boot-up config option: I already have webmin configured to start at bootup - but clearly it is not as simple as that!

Hello,

my servers are all running as ubuntu server. This is old problem, but I never resolved it. Cloudmin (or Webmin) authenticate users by pam. Sometimes, authenticate stuck and I must restart webmin (service webmin restart).
