DomU killing Dom0

Hi,

How can I prevent a domU from taking up all resources and killing Dom0. I have a 4x4 cpu system with 4GB of ram. No matter how I set the limits on the DomU when I gzip -d a large file in a domU, dom0 becomes unresponsive. I also can not use the cloudmin web interface anymore. Top indicates load of 25 before it stops responding on Dom0.

• I tried limiting the number of CPUs to 1 but that had no effect.
• I set the percent of CPU allowed down to 70% which also had no effect.
• I set the cpu weight to 128 but that had no effect. I don't see anywhere I can change the weight for dom0.
• I limited the memory to 2GB, also no effect.

This is probably an issue with io but how do i limit disk access?
