Reducing base install memory footprint

A base install of virtualmin/webmin seems to use about 500MB of ram.

A base install of cPanel runs about 200MB.

What can I do to make a base install less bloaty?

Howdy,

I'd suggest just going through and disabling any goodies you don't need.

There's some ideas to get you started here:

You can see what's using your RAM by running "ps auxw" on the command line.
