restore users from backup to a new server

Good morning, I have a new public mail server with Centos 5.5 and Virtualmin GPL 3.82 and one old mail server with Virtualmin GPL 3.47 and Centos 5.3. I need to trasfer all virtual domains from old server to new server. Servers have different Virtualmin configurations and feature, so I need to create each server manually. I need only to trasfer users and mail files. When I restore the backup in the new server, selecting only option "Mail and FTP users", I see them into Virtual Server users and also emails are restored correctly, but I don't see the users' folders into "/home/domain.com/homes". If I create a new user I see there the user's folder. I see that if I enter on each user and click on Save button user's home directory appear in the right place. What can I do to avoid enter on each user profile? Thanks a lot.

If "emails are restored correctly", but "user's folders are not in /home/domain.com/homes, where do they go? :) The email files should reside in ~/Maildir for each user, so if emails are restored correctly, they have to go somewhere.

Thanks for your reply. Folders are not create, I try to search them in the filesystem but without results. Now I make a backup of the domain including home's directory and restoring them also, now folders are create. Do you think this was the problem? I prefer to move only users and emails files without other folders.

Well, the emails are stored in the users' home directories, so without backing then up / restoring them, it is no wonder that you don't get the emails then. :)

I'm not sure if you can backup only the mail folder. I personally just backup everything (in incremental mode daily, and full backup weekly), don't see much reason to exclude stuff there. :)
