Cloudmin 5.2 released

Cloudmin version 5.2 is now available for download from our YUM and APT repositories. Existing users should see a message on the Cloudmin Information page after logging in, prompting to upgrade to the new release.

This update contains several new features, including :

  • The owner of a virtual system can now be selected on the Edit System page.
  • Cloudmin plugins can now define additional limits for systems owners and plans, settable via the web UI and command-line API.
  • Backups can now have pre and post commands defined by root, runnable either on the Cloudmin master or host systems.
  • Added a search box to the New System Images page.
  • When an OpenVZ container's description is changed, so is the DESCRIPTION line in its .conf file.

It also fixes several minor bugs found since the 5.1 release. As always, please report any problems you find in this new version via the issue tracker.

That's disappointing :( I was hoping that the Xen reseller domain/dns feature I asked for would be in this release.

That's actually a fairly complex feature .. and also not one I consider super-high priority, as resellers are still able to host their own DNS zones anywhere they want (such as on a VM) and create records pointing to Cloudmin instances.

It's on the TODO list though.

Which makes auto-provisioning pointless in WHMCS then since everything hinges on the CM settings. So I am still stuck at manual creation for all Xen servers.

sgrayban,

Got a link that explains your request a bit more? I am not sure what cloudmin has to do with DNS other than rdns or how it could cause problems with provisioning. BTW, the WHMCS cloudmin module (which im pretty sure its 100% coded by WHMCS, not any of the cloudmin devs) is pretty bad. I personally just made my own.

https://www.virtualmin.com/node/16665 is my feature request and isn't part of the whmcs addon.
