Quotas - Can we rid of it completely?

Ok, so here I am trying to complete a mirrored set of servers using glusterfs...

I disable ever quota option in virtualmin and webmin, remove all quota commands in virtualmin and webmin and stop the quota service.

Disk quotas are not an available option for new sites in virtualmin, which is working as intended.

BUT.. I cannot create a new virtual server because of a quota command failing...

" Creating administration group group_name .. .. done

Creating administration user user_name .. .. done

Failed to create virtual server : Quota command user_name 0 0 failed :

sh: user_name: command not found "

My question is... How can I actually completely rid of quota needs by virtualmin? I do not need quotas, I do not want quotas and I think a software of this magnitude should actually have the full fledged capabilities to completely disable (and remove) things that we do not need or want.

Sorry if I seem a little irritated.. it's been a very long week and I now sort of have 2 servers that I cannot use without starting from scratch and doing things manually.

Howdy,

Hmm... I had to dig that up, I can never seem to remember where the option to do that is :-)

However, you can indeed disable quotas.

To do that, go into System Settings -> Virtualmin Config, and on the first screen there is an option named "Set quotas for domain and mail users".

If you set that to "No", that should do what you're after.

Let us know if that does the trick :-)
