Subdomain pointing to virtualmin not resolving

hello

i'm having big troubles with seting up a test server, and i'm wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.

i have a domain name pointing to my vps (exemplu.com), witch is running cpanel. i have created a A record for a subdomain that is pointing to my test server, and everything is fine and dandy (test.exemplu.com) what is am trying to do is that basicly i want test.exemplu.com to act like a domain so i can add later as much sub sub domains as i need ( a.test.exemplu.com, b.test.exemplu.com, c.test.exemplu.com etc.)

when i add a new virtual server (test.exemplu.com) and then i try to add the subdomain a.test.exemplu.com, the subdomain does not resolve.

any help would be appreciated because this is the first time i'm using virtualmin.

To do some initial tests from here (non-resolving hostnames can have any number of reasons and is difficult to debug by "remote guessing"), it'd help to know the actual domain/hostnames in question.

thanks for the quick reply

i got it working by adding a new virtual server, and adding the dns records on may vps to point to it.

We can help, but you'll need to give us lots of info :-)

What distro/version are you using?

What is the output of "php -v"?

And do you see any errors in your Apache error log(s)?
