Automatically create mailboxes on new mail user creation

I'm sorry for the question but I'm relatively new to this. I've finally got port 587 with SSL running properly for sending mail via Postfix, etc, so now my email accounts all work.

However, I"d like to know if there is a way to automatically configure the mailboxes that are created when a new mail users is created.

Examples of mailboxes I'd like to have automatically created are as follows:

  • Inbox (already created anyways of course)
  • Archive
  • Drafts
  • Sent
  • Trash
  • Spam

I believe by default the ones above are created except "Archive"... how do I make it so that Archive is an automatically generated folder when creating a new mail user, for example?

It might be possible to do this by modifying the "skeleton" folder that gets copied to a new user's home folder upon creation. If you pre-create the "Maildir" with the proper subdirs there, that should effectively create those IMAP folders.
