Cloudmin 7.8 released

Cloudmin version 7.8 is now available for download from our YUM and APT repositories. Existing users should see a message on the Cloudmin Information page after logging in, prompting to upgrade to the new release.

This update contains the following major features, and a bunch of bugfixes and other minor improvements :

  • Systems that require root access via sudo can now be managed by Cloudmin, and EC2 instances that require sudo are automatically detected at creation time.

  • Virtual systems can now be created on Google Compute Engine, once you have created an account. GCE behaves very similarly to EC2, which Cloudmin already supports.

  • CentOS 7 is now supported as host system and virtual system type, including the ability to manage XFS filesystems and network interfaces with the ip command.

As always, please report any bugs via our support tracker.
