Hi,
I have duplicated my VPS (image) to a new server with a new hostname.
Let`s say my old VPS hostname was oldvps.com The new one is newvps.com
When I go into virtualmin on new VPS and do the re-check configuration wizard, I get this error: "Your Postfix configuration is missing the system's mail hostname oldvps.com from the mydestination line, which will cause mail to bounce."
However, I checked everywhere and oldvps.com should not show up here. I changed my hostname to newvps ($hostname newvps command), I changed hostname in /etc/hostname and in /etc/hosts/. Also I added the newvps hostname to /etc/postfix/main.cf configuration file.
None of these files refer to oldvps.com anymore. But still, Virtualmin keeps popping up the message about my oldvps.com hostname. Where does Virtualmin take this value from?
Thanks!
I
m really stuck. I can
t get my e-mail working (probably because of this).Any help would be very much appreciated!
Ok, I got this working. I had to add the $hostname value explicit to my postifxs main.cnf. I added hostname = myshost.com and I do`nt get this error anymore
