The FCGI writing as www-data issue again

Hi We have virtualmin 4.12 running with FCGI and php 5.44, and most of the sites are joomla.

We have the issue where any php scripts running on virtual servers (all configured with fcgi) writing files as www-data - which causes issues with automagic updates and so forth

I have googled and have tried all the solutions, editing php5.conf and php5_cgi.conf addhandler lines.

Can anyone give me any idea where else to look?

It's becoming quite an issue.

Howdy,

What distro/version are you using there?

And just to verify -- if you look in Server Configuration -> Website Options, is the PHP Execution Mode still set to FCGID?
