fatal: bind XXX.XXX.XXX.XX port 587: Address already in use

Ubuntu 12.04 Server with latest Virtualmin version. Some domains installed and working. Email working. Websites working. Network eth0 working with IP 111.111.111.11 As soon as installed a second IP in Virtualmin it created eth0:0 with IP 222.222.222.22 and activated it, but same time postfix server stopped to work and could not be started again even after a server reboot. Looking at mail.log found:

Jun 29 15:18:42 server1 postfix/postfix-script[4221]: starting the Postfix mail system
Jun 29 15:18:42 server1 postfix/master[4222]: fatal: bind 111.111.111.11 port 587: Address already in use
Jun 29 15:20:33 server1 postfix/postqueue[4509]: warning: Mail system is down -- accessing queue directly
Jun 29 15:20:47 server1 postfix/postfix-script[4759]: starting the Postfix mail system
Jun 29 15:20:47 server1 postfix/master[4760]: fatal: bind 111.111.111.11 port 587: Address already in use
Jun 29 15:24:03 server1 postfix/postqueue[4971]: warning: Mail system is down -- accessing queue directly
Jun 29 15:46:30 server1 postfix/master[6173]: fatal: bind 111.111.111.11 port 587: Address already in use
Jun 29 15:48:40 server1 postfix/postfix-script[6331]: starting the Postfix mail system
Jun 29 15:48:40 server1 postfix/master[6332]: fatal: bind 111.111.111.11 port 587: Address already in use

Checked everything in the server terminal and found nothing wrong. The only application that is using port 587 is postfix smtp itself.

Someone have any idea what could be it or where do I have to start to find the solution?

Howdy,

Could you paste in the contents of your /etc/postfix/master.cf file? It sounds like something in it may be causing the problems that you're seeing now.
