Dovecot and POP3

For vitualminpro 3.13 and a pristine setup I can't get pop3 to work. I installed dovecot and had to find where it went to fix config. And still no pop3 collection. When I look at dovecot's user login settings both auth and datasource's is set to OTHER dovecot and a blank box. When I try to select pam or anything else it fails.

What's a guy to do. I just want to pick up my mail... ;-)
