Joomla 1.5.1 Updated Script Available Here

Joomla 1.5.1 lovers rejoice! You don't have to wait till Virtualmin 3.53+. Here's my working install script until Vmin 3.53 comes out.

All I did was update the version number, and the download URL's.

Download the attached file. Change the .txt extension to .pl.

Copy the joomla.pl file into the /usr/libexec/webmin/virtual-server/scripts directory, and you are good to go!

Note, this is a brute force hack. I doubt it works for non-english users. Lo Siento! (I'm sorry!)

Enjoy!<br><br>Post edited by: WillSargent, at: 2008/02/26 21:28

In my excitement to post, I realized that I didn't fix the 1.0.15 version as well. Here is the real deal 1.5.1 and 1.0.15!

Note that on the next update to virtualmin, this script will be overwritten by the &quot;Official&quot; virtualmin release.

Does this script work with the GPL version? I can't seem to find the directory listed above.

Thanks - Spudster

No, as mentioned in the comparison page, Virtualmin GPL does not have the Install Scripts feature.

The script will not run at all without the full Install Scripts API and library, which is not included in Virtualmin GPL.

I believe that scripts are a feature of the professional version only.

So while the pearl code probably runs, there would not be any integration into virtualmin GPL.

One of several great reasons to use the pro version!
