Virtualmin Won't Install

Everytime I attempt to install virtualmin, i always get the exact same fatal error and it rolls back everything. Below is the out-put. Please find out what is wrong. Like I said above, this causes a complete failure that rolls back the installation. There is nothing wrong with the box or with sa-update either as I am able to do sa-update manually without issue.

CentOS 5.5 x86_64

This message is misleading - the install has actually completed OK, but updates of spamassassin rules are failing. This isn't actually that important, and will happen automatically in the background via cron later.

I have updated the Virtualmin install script to not log such a scary message in future. You should be able to login to Virtualmin at https://yoursystem:10000/

I had a similar event once during a Vmin test install. The sa-update failure indeed can be safely ignored, but it would be interesting to know if the installer actually did "roll back everything" as the issue poster reported. For me, it did not - did it do that in this case? And what does "roll back everything" mean exactly?

yes, for me, it did roll back. i can not access it on any port, in fact, upon attempting the --uninstall option, it states no items are installed. obviously, something else must be going on that it doesn't report. I've checked the log, and it doesn't show anything else failing.

Ok, that looks like a more complex issue then.

Any change we could remotely login to your system to see what is going wrong? Email me at jcameron@virtualmin.com with credentials if that is possible ..
