mail notification

does the mail notification auto send with the mail server that is detected when configured? Everything in virtualmin (gpl) works except for that.

I have a guess it uses sendmail regardless can this be confirmed ?

You should only have one Mail Server configured on your system. If you can send outgoing mail and recieve emails to your mailboxes without a hitch, then you should have no problem having the email notification sent. Typically the sendmail binary is symlinked to the Postfix binary if you have Postfix configured correctly. If email is not being sent out, check your mail queue and make sure your Mail Server service is started.

I'm not sure I am fully understanding your issue, but maybe this helps.

my mail works without a hitch, only qmail is installed with vpop. which is why i'm confused why the e-mails arn't being sent. their is no error, and no record of the e-mail ever making it to qmail.

I don't think notifications only use sendmail. I believe it uses the standard Webmin send mail functionality.

I know you've said mail works, but I'd like to get clarification that sending mail from something in Webmin works? i.e. if you use the Read User Mail module to send a message, does it work? This would inidicate at least that Webmin knows how to send email on your system...and would rule out misconfiguration of that aspect of things.
