Mailbox quota...

Hallo, I still have problems with owner limits, following yours advice i have updated virtualmin to 3.29.gpl. New domain admins haven`t rights to create users, aliases, databases. I need change in "Edit Owner Limits" rights for every new domain. Update doesnt help, worse. New domain admins (domains created after update) can not change mailbox quota for domain users. Old domain admins (domains created before update) they can. is there any sollution? is it possible to downgrade virtualmin? My system: Debian 3.1, Webmin 1.300, Virtualmin 3.29.gpl, Mysql + Postfix + Apache + Bind.

Thanks for any help. Wojtek.

Hey Wojtek,

Sure, you can downgrade--any new options will be ignored by the old version. But how about we get your current version fixed, instead! This isn't difficult behavior to change in the current version.

<i>New domain admins haven`t rights to create users, aliases, databases. I need change in &quot;Edit Owner Limits&quot; rights for every new domain.

So you're saying that you have to edit the owner limits for each new domain to grant them the privileges you want them to have? If I'm understanding the problem, the solution is easy. Just edit the Server Template(s) that you use (or the Default template if you don't have different server templates), and add the privileges you want the new domain owners to have.

Much older versions of Virtualmin only allowed one set of options for this kind of thing, and it was configured in the Module Config. New versions use Server Templates for almost everything, so you can easily setup unlimited numbers of different domain account types with different levels of privileges.

Hallo Joe.
It was very fast. Tnx for replay.
You are rigth to fix current version.
Back to my problem.
I use Server Templates. In &quot;Default Domain owner limits&quot; i have:
Default limit on number of mailboxes - At most 25
Default limit on number of aliases - At most 50
Default limit on number of databases - At most 1
Default limit on number of virtual servers - At most 2
Default bandwidth limit -1 GB

There is no more option to set.

Hallo Joe.
I've checked webmin logs.
When i edit mail user &quot;user2@test1.de&quot; and try change user quota there is some differents in webmin.log and miniserv.log.
--miniserv.log---
x.x.x.x - test1 [[25/Nov/2006:21:24:49 +0100]] &quot;GET /virtual-server/edit_user.cgi?dom=116448434514831&amp;user=user2.test1&amp;unix=1 HTTP/1.1&quot; 200 11146
x.x.x.x - test1 [[25/Nov/2006:21:33:10 +0100]] &quot;GET /virtual-server/save_user.cgi?new=&amp;dom=116448434514831&amp;old=user2.test1&amp;unix=1&amp;web=&amp;mailuser=user2&amp;oldpop3=user2&amp;real=&amp;mailpass_def=1&amp;mailpass=&amp;home_def=1&amp;home=&amp;ftp=0&amp;quota_def=0&amp;quota=50&amp;quota_units=1048576&amp;extra=&amp;remail_def=1&amp;remail= HTTP/1.1&quot; 302 0
--------------------------
quota is 50 MB, but in webmin.log quota is 40 like it was before change.
--webmin.log---
1164486790.24557.0 [[25/Nov/2006 21:33:10]] test1 81c3b62933d9f0406a49cfd70c4d5697 x.x.x.x virtual-server save_user.cgi &quot;modify&quot; &quot;user&quot; &quot;user2&quot; alias='' change='13477' dom='test1.de' dom_prefix='t' email='' expire='' extravirt='' generic='' gid='1239' hardmquota='' hardquota='0' home='/var/www/vserver/test1.de/homes/user2' inactive='' line='570' mailbox='user2' max='' min='' mquota='' num='570' olduser='user2.test1' pass='AWpU0y6DuYrGM' passmode='4' person='1' plainpass='123123' quota='40960' real='' shell='/dev/null' sline='570' softmquota='' softquota='40960' to='' uid='1541' umquota='' unix='1' uquota='156' user='user2.test1' virt='' virtualmin-dav='0' warn=''

This happen only for new domains, old domains are OK.
Any idea?
