Change Password - Usermin

Hi all, Currently my clients complained unable to change the password. I checked the error log file. It says. ==> /var/usermin/miniserv.error <== Error: Failed to open /dev/pts/0 : No such file or directory

Error

Failed to change password : Failed to open /dev/pts/0 : No such file or directory

I can reset the password via webmin.

Virtualmin-3.64gpl running on EC2 from Amazon Elastic Cloud Computing. Anything wrong? What is the solution. Urgently need your feedback. Thanks. KH

Post edited by: khlim, at: 2009/01/18 23:11

Hrm, I'm not sure what might cause that; it seems some AMI users have seen that, though under different circumstances.

What I'd do is put all that in the bug/issue tracker (the link is at the bottom of the page), and I think Jamie can help sort that out.

Thanks!

Hi Eric,
Perhaps this can help to your customers.
I checked on ec2's forum and found this [url=http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/thread.jspa?messageID=516....

I mounted
as
mount devpts /dev/pts -t devpts
it works, pls add this into fstab as well :)

Now i got no error and able to change the password.
Hope this helps
Thanks,
KH

Yeah, the forum here sucks. It'll be nicer in the next version of the website (hopefully launching very soon).
