554 5.7.1 <username@mydomain.com>: Relay access denied

Hi

I'm facing one issue with one of my e-mail domain unable to receive external e-mail. Can anyone please help me?

I have been running Ubuntu server 8.04 with licensed Virtualmin for several months now.

I have 4 domains running and recently one of the domain is unable to receive external e-mail.

The rest of the domain is running fine.

It happened 2 days ago out of a sudden.

This is what I have in the mail.log,

Nov 5 09:16:25 ns1 postfix/smtpd[32436]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from blu0-omc2-s35.blu0.hotmail.com[65.55.111.110]: 554 5.7.1 username@mydomain.com: Relay access denied; from=agatohuang@hotmail.com to=username@mydomain.com proto=ESMTP helo=<blu0-omc2-s35.blu0.hotmail.com>

Hi again

I went to validate the domain and found the following,

  • Mail for domain : The mail server is not configured to receive email for mydomain.com .

But the problem is I have not done anything to the server except deleted another domain.

And under "Enabled features" for the domain, there is a tick for "Mail for domain enabled?"

Now I believe I just need to enable the domain to receive email.

Can somebody please help me?

Hi Everyone

I managed to solve the problem by disabling and then re-enabling the domain.

Cheers! :^)
