My Access Log is full of lines from ezooms.bot@gmail.com

Hello, checking the access log from my server I saw that there are a lot of access from this IP. What should I do about it? Should I block the access from it? And how would I do that? Thanks for any help I may get.

Howdy,

Well, bots are going to endlessly explore the various web pages you have on your server.

My advice would just be to make sure all the apps you have installed are secure ... if they're up to date, and don't contain any known security issues, you generally don't have anything to worry about :-)

However, if seeing those messages bothers you, you can always block an IP by running this command:

route add -host x.x.x.x reject

The Ezoomsbot is an SEOMoz crawler. Ezooms is an anagram of SEOMoz. A reverse lookup of the bot's IP address shows it coming from Seattle-based Wowrack. SEOMoz is also based in Seattle and uses Wowrack.
