Howdy,

Hmm, which Ubuntu version is it that you're using there? You can determine that by running this command:

cat /etc/issue

Howdy Eric

I got this

root@xbmc:~# cat /etc/issue Ubuntu 12.10 \n \l

(On an off note eric ive lost my log in to my account here on the forums so made this one to get in contact with you. Any idea how I can get the details? my username is Xencored.)

Cheers Mike

Ubuntu 12.10 is not supported by the installer (and Virtualmin in general). Only the LTS versions (10.04, 12.04) are "grade A" supported, it's highly recommended to use 12.04 at the moment.

Ah right I can't sadly. As xbmcbuntu runs on 12.10 :(

Cheers for the update tho Frank.

"xbmcbuntu"? Why would you want to use that for Virtualmin? :) You might want to decide if you wish to watch videos or host websites on your Linux box. ;)

It's highly recommended to use the "original" server version of Ubuntu 12.04, and not to install anything besides SSH, then let the installer get everything for you. Trying to get this to run on "xbmcbuntu" will cause you a lot of grief.

Was trying to kill two birds with one stone. Host my wifes site and use it as a media center :D

Well yeah, the idea is good basically, but Virtualmin is just not meant to be installed on a distro with a specific custom purpose like running XBMC. :) It's made for stability, so using a vanilla original minimal grade-A distro is kinda imperative, so as to have a well-known basis.
