[Solved] SSH backup fail

Hi

A little problem : I try to backup my server with the sheduled backup to a distant server. FTP : no problem, work perfect ! SSH : error when it want to upload file to the distant server. The error message looks like "/tmp/.webmin/xx-xxx....tar.gz no such file or directory.

I searched for answer but I founded nothing.

My config : debian 7 server with last virtualmin version (configuration checking ok)

Thanks for help ! I'm not sure the FTP is the most secure method ... :-( (And sorry for my bad english !)

Is it complaining about the missing file on the server being backed up, or on the "distant" server? I'd be surprised about the former, because then FTP transfer would probably not work either.

You might want to check if you provided the correct host and credentials, i.e. if you can SSH in the shell from the server being backed up to the distant one, using the hostname, user, password and path you're using.

I checked SSH access and I do not actually understand why the script works in FTP and SSH not. I may be wrong but I only upload average exchange and I do not see why the source file is malformed or not found when the backup method is SSH.

I also specifies that SSH access works because at the time of verification and the elimination of old copies, there is no error returned.

Thank you for your help!

Problem solved by unchecked "Transfer each virtual server after it is backed up".
