2 websites with different host on the same server, for configuring rDNS

Hello I have 2 websites on my virtualmin server. For every website i created a mail account. And when i test both email the outgoing email server is my hostname server (ns1.example.com). It is possible to setup for every domain a personalized hostname? For example for domain1.com the hostname to be domain1.com also for the outgoing emails, for the domain2.com the outgoing hostname email server to be domain2.com

I am trying to configure rdns.

Howdy,

Yeah by default all email goes out via the primary IP address.

If that's not what you want, you could always setup something like Sender Dependent Outgoing Email. Note that this requires a dedicated IP for each domain that's participating. Details on that are here:

https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/email/dependent

Would that do what you're after?

Yes i did this configuration and now every domain has its own ip. The problem is the ip have the name server like host not the domain name. I need to configure the hostname for every domain, so the mail will be appear to be sended from the hostname i specify (example.com) not from the default hostname (ns1.example.com)

This is the real example, please check on both cases the rDNS

Your IP address 5.134.115.231 is associated with the domain first.smtp-sender.com. Nevertheless your message appears to be sent from ns1.smtp-sender.com.

You may want to change the host name of your server to first.smtp-sender.com.

Here are the tested values for this check:

IP: 5.134.115.231
HELO: ns1.smtp-sender.com

rDNS: first.smtp-sender.com

Here are the tested values for this check:

IP: 5.134.115.225
HELO: ns1.smtp-sender.com

rDNS: ns1.smtp-sender.com
