Weird IP Issue

Somehow the IP in VM got set to eth1.... not sure how that happened. I fixed it but I cannot get rid of this message:

Because I cannot run the change IP due to the fact eth1 is not an IP. How do I get rid of that message now?

Howdy -- hmm, that is indeed an odd one!

One quick thing that would be good to see -- what is the output of the command "ifconfig"?

The ip and everything is correct now. I just need to figure out how to disable that prompt.

Everything is behind a NAT on eth1:

1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 ::1/128 scope host valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever 2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP qlen 1000 link/ether 00:00:45:1c:54:e6 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 3: eth1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP qlen 1000 link/ether 00:00:0a:1c:54:e6 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 10.104.251.32/25 brd 10.104.251.127 scope global eth1 valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 fe80::200:aff:fe1c:54e6/64 scope link valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

To clarify, the IP somehow literally got set to the string 'eth1'. I manually changed it everywhere, but when I go to click the update IP button on that message and use that form in virtualmin, it rejects the form data because obviously eth1 is not an IP.

You may need to manually correct the line that contains in /etc/webmin/virtual-server/config
