I'm a bit out of my depth so have not done troubleshooting steps I no doubt could have done, but I'm very willing to if you point me in the right direction!
I'm not exactly sure how it happened but my domain inthatmovie.com presents a certificate error. Originally it was a date issue, but if you check now you'll see that it's because I'm using a self-signed certificate (as an attempt at troubleshooting)
When I try to force a renewal in Virtualmin I get the following error:
inthatmovie.com challenge did not pass: Invalid response from http://inthatmovie.com/.well-known/acme-challenge/zOMLdLm9OoZcG8kgPXemm_... [157.230.132.87]: 404
I'm not sure where to go from here.

No, I'm using nginx so no .htaccess
I don't know if it really happened, but seems that let's encrypt script no longer creates the well-known folder. Instead,it looks for DNS register, thing that can't be done automatically.
Ok thanks, So do you have any ideas how to resolve? Can I just delete all trace of SSL/LetsEncrypt and stat again?
What i do is copyin the bind9 entry in my external dns server for each domain and the validation works like a charm.

got this issue as well after update, not sure that root cause for this but seems permissions on public_html that not allow to create that folder - looking for solution as well

1.920 - I have 2 servers (one prod another one devtest) updated to latest version as well with php 7.3 and now have some problems that not sure how to solve, had same issue on devtest after update so at least it same with same config, however reinstall devtest freshly and its seems working well so not sure why he dont like previews versions setup? Not much customization at all was standard, one issue that i have on devtest is php code for phpmyadmin is shown instead of login page not sure how to fix it and why but thats separate topic.
