Virtualmin downloads from your distribution's repositories. Before installing Virtualmin, set up your repositories as desired.

That said, I've not used the repository you mention, so you may need to do some testing to check everything works as expected.

This is on an existing install and Software Collections allows you to install packages such as PHP and Mysql / MariaDB to a none standard location so it doesn't over-write existing packages.

I've not looked that closely under the hood of Virtualmin but I presume it uses the Webmin modules for a lot of tasks. You can change paths etc in the Module Config (gear icon) in the Webmin modules.

Thanks but I am a long time user of Webmin and I already tried changing various paths which is why I am asking.

/opt/rh/rh-mariadb100/root/usr/bin/mysqlshow
/opt/rh/rh-mariadb100/root/usr/bin/mysqladmin
/opt/rh/rh-mariadb100/root/usr/bin/mysqladmin
/opt/rh/rh-mariadb100/root/usr/bin/mysqldump
/opt/rh/rh-mariadb100/root/usr/bin/mysqlimport
/opt/rh/rh-mariadb100/root/usr/libexec/mysqld

service rh-mariadb100-mariadb start
service rh-mariadb100-mariadb stop

/var/opt/rh/rh-mariadb100/lib/mysql
/var/opt/rh/rh-mariadb100/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
/etc/opt/rh/rh-mariadb100/my.cnf

I can start this fine on the command line just not via Webmin

Ah, no problem. It could be helpful to others if you find a solution.

Well according to another post I saw from Joe this very site uses MariaDB from SCL so I'm kind of presuming that the admins here know.

I'm just bumping this in case there is anyone who may be able to shed light on this.
