The simplest way to install Cloudmin is to use the install script for Cloudmin Professional on the Software Licenses page that matches your system, or to grab the correct Cloudmin GPL install script from Webmin.com. The steps to follow are :
- Pick a server that will be your Cloudmin master. We recommend CentOS, but Debian, Ubuntu and Solaris are also supported. You can install it onto a system already running Webmin/Virtualmin. If your system isn't yet running those, we'd suggest installing Cloudmin onto a freshly installed system.
- Download the correct install script for your OS from the software licenses page.
- Upload the script to your Cloudmin master system, then SSH in as root and run it. If installing the GPL version for KVM on a Linux system whose primary network interface is not named
eth0, you may need to add the
--bridge-interfaceflag followed by an interface name.
From this point on, installation should be fully automated. Cloudmin packages, Webmin and other tools will be download from the appropriate repositories using APT or YUM.
