"Re-Check Config" seems to hang or freeze after MySQL check

Hello Guys,

I installed WebMin Yesterday and Love it!!! (2 commands to get running (1. download, 2. install))

I wanted to try VirtualMin so I downloaded it and i have fixed all the issues the "Re-Check Config" came up with but now I think there is an issue with the Re-Checking process.

It seems to Freeze after checking MySQL (which returns as fine). When i run it via the web UI or command line (virtualmin check-config) this is the only output i get:

----Here----

BIND DNS server is installed, and the system is configured to use it. However, the default master DNS server zeepalserver1 is not a fully qualified domain name.

Mail server Postfix is installed and configured.

Apache is installed.

Webalizer is installed.

MySQL is installed and running.

----Here----

But the web page says it still loading and when running the command doesn't finish executing (untill i cancel it with ctrl-c).

I tried Google but no luck on any issues like this.

On Google I found the next check it seems to do is for ProFTPd which I have installed and it seems fine so I believe it is getting stuck here.

Can you guys give me a hand?

FYI: Installed VirtualMin via WebMin as the server I am using now is in "Production" but its just a home server I would prefer not to start from scratch (yet) but if and when i do i will use the auto script :D

Howdy,

Do you see any errors showing up in /var/webmin/miniserv.error?

Also, does the FTP server on your system work correctly? Are you able to log into it?

Hello Eric,

I can't see any errors and i have tested FTP and she is fine.

Please note i only believe it is FTP as it seems to be the next check that I found from Google but it may not be.

Im running the check again while I go to work and see if it completed in a few hours and will let you know.

  PostgreSQL is installed and running.

  Logrotate is installed.

SpamAssassin and Procmail are installed and configured for use.

Plugin AWstats reporting is installed OK.

  Plugin Mailman is installed OK.

Plugin Protected web directories is installed OK.

Plugin Additional content styles is installed OK.

Plugin Virtualmin Support Links is installed OK.

Using network interface eth0 for virtual IPs.

IPv6 addresses are available, using interface eth0.

Default IP address for virtual servers is xx.xx.xx.xx.

Both user and group quotas are enabled for home and email directories.

All commands needed to create and restore backups are installed.

Resource limits are supported and configured correctly.

Hello Guys,

No I haven't done the hostname yet. I'm still thinking of what I want to use as I have the domain name zeepal.net.

What hostnames do you guys use?

After leaving it to process for a few hours it gave me this output:

----Here----

I removed all logrotations that dont have files exisiting and it pass'ed with the following:
