Cloudmin 5.1 released

Cloudmin version 5.1 is now available for download from our YUM and APT repositories. Existing users should see a message on the Cloudmin Information page after logging in, prompting to upgrade to the new release.

This update contains several new features, including :

  • VNC access to new or existing (once rebooted) KVM systems is now password protected.
  • Added the mount-system and umount-system API commands, for making the filesystem of a Xen, KVM or Citrix virtual machine available for direct access on its host.
  • When deleting a virtual system you now have the option to leave its virtual disk images on the host system until they are manually removed or connected to another system. The delete-system API command also has a --keep-disks flag which has the same effect.
  • When a Xen or KVM virtual system with disks on LVM is cloned, you now have the option to use an LVM snapshot to perform the copy without needing to shut down the source. This is also much faster than a regular copy.

As always, please report any problems you encounter using this new version via the support issue tracker.
