The Default owner limits page has a section labeled:
"Default available features"
It has two options:
"Automatic, based on initial features", which has no meaning without reading more. When is "initial" and where would I set those defaults? the help makes me think it means "during virtual server creation", which doesn't really make sense for Server Templates to offer as an option...)
"Selected below ..", which makes it easier to disable everything by default and make folks check everything, even the absolutely vital stuff, during domain creation. As far as I can tell, neither contains intuitive defaults.
Server Templates are already intimidating for folks...let's come up with some reasonable defaults and make them harder to screw up (and make that first option label mean something). They've gotten better in some regards (like the ability to pass things down to newly created templates from other templates), but we still get a lot of questions about enabling databases and scripts for Virtual Server users.
