I have a domain which only hosts Mail on my service, so Apache Website has been disabled, also to avoid validation error about the BIND DNS feature where the IP for and www. differs from the Virtualmin IP. So far so good. However, this domain has some domain aliases, and now these fail to validate with the following error:
BIND DNS domain : The DNS record <domain>. resolves to the IP address 109.xx.xx.xx instead of the virtual server's IP 188.xx.xx.xx
Apache website : No Apache virtual host for richlytrend.ch found
The main domain validates OK, and I am unable to to deactivate the Website for the aliases since it is already deactivated on the main domain.

This is a bug with the validation code for alias domains - I'll fix it in the next Virtualmin release.

Actually, now that I disabled web on the main domain, the backup of the domain aliases fails because Virtualmin can't find the Apache configuration. Guess this is related...

That could be a separate bug ... what error message are you getting exactly?

Copying Apache aliases ..
.. failed to find target virtual website!

How exactly did you disable the website for the target domain?

I went to "Edit Virtual Server" of the target domain and removed the "Apache Website" checkbox.

Ok, that's a bug .... Virtualmin shouldn't have allowed you to disable a feature in the target domain when it is still enabled in the alias. I will prevent this in the next release.
