Fail over server

I have 1 primary server with 90 domains. I want to create a secondary server. I start the process by creating a fresh server with virtualmin and all packages and tested with sample domain. Everything for the second server is working fine. Now I want to copy all 90 domains to the secondary server so that if some thing happen to the primary I can change the secondary IP and manage to work as normal. Is there any way so that I can easily copy all the files from primary to secondary. I have the complete backup for 90 domains but its very difficult to restore this files one by one. All my backups are taken through virtualmin console.

Is it work when I copy the HOME and VAR folder to the secondary server using scp commands

Howdy -- rather than restoring the domains one by one, you can restore all of them at once by putting them all into a single directory, and telling Virtualmin to restore that directory.

For example, if you place all the backups into /root/backups, when performing a restore, don't point it at a particular file... instead, tell it to restore "/root/backups", which allows it to restore all the domains at one time.

what about the domains, before doing complete restore whether I need to add all domains ???

You don't need to manually add the domains into Virtualmin on your backup server -- restoring the Full backups you have will create the domains for you.
