Status Monitoring: Cannot set Defaults and Domain Overrides

PROBLEM: There is no way to set the defaults for Status Monitoring. It is not possible to specify the HTTP check timeout for status monitoring on a global basis. Nor is it possible to specify e-mail handling defaults on a global basis.

DESCRIPTION:

Doing:

VirtualMin > System Settings > Server Templates > Default Settings > Status monitoring

as well as templates based on Default Settings have all of the entries grayed out when "None" is selected for Additional email address for monitoring messages.

EXPECTED:

One should be able to specify the defaults for status monitoring:

Global...

1. A global enabled/disabled toggle for all domains.
2. A list (0 or more) e-mail addresses that are to be notified on monitor fail detect (system administrators).
3. Send email to server owner?
4. The global HTTP check timeout for all domains.
5. The global status email template.

Per Domain...

6. A list (0 or more) e-mail addresses that are to be notified on monitor fail detect (domain owners). These are sent e-mail in addition to the global entries.
7. Send email to server owner? Change this be one of three choices: Default, Yes, or No. Default inherits from the global settings.
8. The domain HTTP check timeout (overrides the global)
9. The status email template: This inherits from the global default, or selects an override template.

WORKAROUNDS

Right now, the system administrator must manually edit each domain via Webmin that is created by Virtualmin to specify handling. If the administrator wants to change the notification options globally, every domain must be manually updated. There is no provision for changing template using the Webmin interface.
