Ownership change from user to www-data

OPERATING SYSTEM: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Hello Team,

I am using Virtualmin Version 4.18.gpl. While using any domain with Megento, everything it change owner from user to www-data.

Could you please help me out for the same ?

Assigned to: Guest » andreychek Howdy -- if something is owned as www-data, that likely means that this particular domain is running as mod_php, rather than FCGID or CGI.

That can be configured in Server Configuration -> Website Options -> PHP Execution Mode.

If that doesn't help, you may want to try editing or removing Magento's .htaccess file. It's possible that could be causing a problem.

Since you're using Virtualmin GPL, you'd want to use the Forums for any followup questions.

My suggestion is to start a new Forum thread (using the Forums link above), and there, explain the problem you're having, and let us know what you see when browsing to Server Configuration -> Website Options.
