Does spamtrap really work?

Two weeks ago I set up spamtrap and hamtrap.

Over these two weeks I have kept track of a couple of emails that I receive daily. These emails I have been sending to spamtrap@my_email_server.com

So I know have 15 days of sending these emails to the spamtrap address. But everyday they keep on appearing.

All setup for spamassassin (this is working), postfix, etc was done using Virtualmin.

Is there anything I can do to check that spamtrap is working, and I am not just sending emails to a "bit bucket"?
