URGENT Simple(?) Mail problem

In the middle of migrating from a CPanel to Vmin and the DNS propagation has gone somewhere else ....... I am trying to find out how to "simply" give the Users a way to send and get at their mail and Websites during the event.

Can't for the life of me find out how! In CPanel prior to propagation you simply address your Website as: IP/~username and you are in.

In the migration, everything got altered - user names and domain identity: in CPanel it is username@domain.com by default.

HOW does one access the Website? HOW does one get at the Old mail then New mail?

Desperation caused by new note on the Registrar Site: "Allow up to 7 WORKING days for propagation" !
Have I missed something here? I thought everything was speeding up!

Cheers?

This is a one-line change to the Apache configuration. Here's how you do it in Webmin:

Browse to Servers:Apache Webserver

Scroll down to the list of Virtual Servers. Click on Default (the first one).

Click on Document Options

For the option "User WWW directory" replace the "disable" text with "public_html".

Save it and apply your changes.

If this is what people expect, we will make it the default in future installer versions. It is disabled by default, for the following reason (extracted verbatim from the Apache configuration file):

# UserDir is disabled by default since it can confirm the presence
# of a username on the system (depending on home directory
# permissions).

I'll tackle your mail query in another post. Wanted to get this one knocked out, as it is so simple.

See? I said it was simple! :-)
Ta,
Now all I need is some connected DNS and workable mail and I can go to bed.

Hi folks,
A real simple one:
How does one access email via pop under Vmin defaults what are they? vis: assigneduser.email as user? What are the Mail Servers called? SMTP? mail.? something else?

How does one get Virtualminpro to re-assign *standard* email addresses and user names: freddo and freddo@frog.com
even manually.

Just got home and got deluged with backed up complaints from my "other" Gmail account - yes - mine still doesn't work either! :-(
