SSL certificate problem (Also, license montly renewal)

Hi,

First of all, i selected a monthly renewal for virtualmin here and that stopped to work without me to know it. What to do to be sure it's always working?

Second, i installed a new certificate for my default domain and i selected the option to use it for webmin but when i press the button "copy to webmin", i get some messages that it was installed to usermin.. So, there's a mixup here and webmin dont take the new certificate.

What to do?

Howdy -- hmm, it doesn't appear that you have any orders purchased in this account since we began offering monthly licenses in 2016.

Did you by chance purchase a license using a different account?

Regarding the SSL issue -- what Webmin and Virtualmin version is it that you're using there?

If you check in my expired licenses, there is 2. I had a 250 one and replaced it with an unlimited one. Maybe some mistakes on our side, i dont know.

Webmin version 1.831 Virtualmin version 5.05

I bypassed the certificate problem by copy/pasting the files into the webmin directories. So, for the moment it's ok, i have some most important issues for which i will create a new ticket, so i can close this one.

Thanks

Ah, upon closer inspection it does indeed look like you had a monthly license, you're absolutely right.

Unfortunately, we don't have logs that go that far back, so it's not really possible to determine what went awry there.

What I can offer, is that we now have a better system in place to handling renewal problems than we did in 2016. Multiple attempts to renew will be made if there's a problem, and if it's not working you'll receive an email notice.

As far as what to do from here, my suggestion would be to purchase a new license, and to apply that new license to your server with this command:

virtualmin change-license --serial SERIAL_NUM --key KEY

Feel free to let us know if you have any questions!

License purchased and applied. Thanks
