New version 3.14 of virtual-server Virtualmin module

I've just uploaded version 3.14 of the virtual-server module to the repository for all platforms. This release includes several minor bugfixes and a number of features and changes requested by users. <p> To upgrade on Red Hat-based platforms: <p> yum update wbm-virtual-server <p> Or on SUSE systems: <p> yast -i wbm-virtual-server <p> Changes since 3.13: <p> [list]

[]Added a section to the List Databases page for changing the database login name for an existing virtual server. This allows servers whose default database names would clash to be more easily created.[/]

[]Added a new Batch Create Servers page for creating multiple virtual servers at once from a simple text batch file.[/]

[]The virtual server validation function now checks to ensure that mail user home directories exist and have the correct ownerships.[/]

[]New and modified mailbox messages can use blocks like $IF-VIRTUALMIN-DAV to display different messages depending on whether or not plugin features like DAV are enabled.[/]

[]When importing a virtual server, users can be found by a regular expression as well as just matching by primary group.[/]

[]Fixed a bug that could cause mailbox users' home directories to be owned by the server administrator.[/]

[]The rarely-used 'Group for Unix user' option on the server creation page is now hidden by default.[/]

[]Added a new Batch Create Users page for creating multiple mail / FTP users at once from a simple text batch file.[/]

[]Fixed incorrect URLs in the PHPSupport script installer, and added support for version 2.1.[/]

[]Added highlighting to all tables, when using the latest theme.[/]

As an addendum to this, for anyone that ran into undefined subrouting errors after upgrading: The package was missing dependency information that would have lead to updating to Webmin version 1.274 at the same time. I'm rolling out a new package with correct dependency information, and in the meantime, you can upgrade to the latest Webmin with:

On Red Hat based systems:

yum update webmin

On SUSE systems:

yast -i webmin

On Mandriva systems:

urpmi webmin

Sorry for any inconvenience. We're looking into why the dependency did not find its way into the RPM (the makemodulerpm.pl script automatically handles dependencies, but it seems to be missing the Webmin version dependency).

The new table highlighting feature is very cool! It may not be the biggest advancement in functionality, but it is a very visible improvement in the interface. I think end users will be very pleased, and more graphical usability features like this are very welcome in the future!

Thanks,
Alan
