Howdy -- thanks for contacting us!

The PHP version you're seeing there is the one provided by your Linux distribution.

There's a supported way to install multiple PHP versions on CentOS 6 and 7, and we've even recently added a supported way to install PHP7 on Ubuntu 16.04, but we unfortunately don't have a supported way to install additional PHP versions on Ubuntu 14.04. Sorry!

If that's something you need, you can always look into migrating to a different server running a PHP version you need, or you could even perform an in-place upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04.

There's instructions on upgrades and migrations here:

https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/system/upgrades-and-migrations

Thanks I am not a guru on this topics, i may ask stupid quesiton

can php only upgrade to a particular virtual server?

I hear php7 is not as mature....with some wordpress theme

It's no problem, feel free to ask any questions you like.

Normally, there's only one PHP version available to your Linux distribution, but in the case of CentOS 6, 7, and Ubuntu 16.04, it's possible to install a second PHP version.

When installing that second version, you can then use Virtualmin to pick and choose which domains get which PHP version.

Does that answer your question? If not, feel free to let us know and we'd be happy to help clarify any questions you have.
