Default domain showing for new virtual server

Webmin version 1.860 Usermin version 1.720 Virtualmin version 6.01 Centos version 6.9 This is an older server that has maybe 15 other domains on it and has been running for a couple of years without issue before now.

I'm creating a new virtual server, adding some content and pointing the new domain DNS to the server IP.

For some unknown reason, the new domain always displays the default virtualmin domain, even though there is content for the new domain in /home/newdomain/public_html

Its like virtualmin doesnt recognize that the new domain has been created. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this... any suggestions, please?
